PARISH COUNCIL: Open Forum: One member of public.
County Council Report: Following the publication of Focus, concerns had been raised by residents on the lack of progress at the cross border meetings re proposed weight restrictions in Gloucestershire.
Matters Arising: Burial Ground: Purchase of the land for the extension to the burial ground has been completed. Additions have been made to the transfer agreements and declarations. Tenders are requested for site clearance.
Archaeological Dig: Fieldwork for Stage 1 has been completed.
Playground Equipment: Two further estimates for the necessary work would be required.
Dog Fouling Byelaws: There has been no response to the advertisement of Notice of Intent. Relevant documents will now be sent to the DETR.
Back Lane: Further endeavours will be made to have the spoil cleared from the area.
Bretforton Brook: Environment Agency says work will be done to clear banks.
Memorial Hall: Work is in progress on the roof repairs.
n Parish Precept: Following discussion the precept will be £14,000 for 2001/2002.
Garden Club: Confirmation has been received that one tub will be given to the village.
GPU Power: Notification of changes in administrative procedures for calculation of energy consumption had been received.
Worcs Ass Local Councils: Agenda and minutes and date of time of AGM had been received.
n Flooding: Following an item in 'Focus', a resident had written to ask if the parish were likely to be involved with any costs.
Worcestershire Partnership: Information had been received on a mapping exercise of areas of deprivation within Worcestershire.
Planning: Applications - Mr R Albutt - site in Station Road, change of use from agricultural to storage for animal bedding.
W D Jelfs - temporary siting of mobile home, prior to construction of agricultural dwelling.
Approved: Mr D Morys and A Harwood - site in Bridge Street, single storey house and garage.
Refused: Bretforton Sports Club - construction of concrete garage to replace old shed.
Withdrawn: Unipart - continued use of portacabin as Golf Club House.
Bulbs: More daffodil bulbs have been planted on the Triangle, Station Road/Shop Lane.
Potholes: List of potholes and blocked drains will be sent to Highways Partnership.
Street Lights: Damaged lights in Coldicotts Close have been reported.
Posts - Triangle, Station Road/Shop Lane. Several posts have been pulled up and the caps broken on many more. Repairs will be carried out.
Sports Club: A revised estimate for repairs to the entrance has been received. Further consultation will take place concerning the refusal of planning application to construct a secure building to replace old wooden shed.
Parish Councillor: Mrs Teena Appleby has resigned as parish councillor. Vacancy will be advertised and electoral officer contacted. The next meeting will be held on January 8 in the Memorial Hall, with open forum at 7.15pm.
