PARISH COUNCIL: Report of the meeting on November 14:
Planning application W00/1376/LBC by Prowting Homes for the construction of a new fire/sound screen compartment adjacent to the protected timber glazed screen of unit no 3 Main Court House, Besford Court Estate received no objections.
Amended plans had been received regarding W98/1170/1171/LBC by N J Robinson showing a revised farm access point. This was agreed to be acceptable providing that all other openings were stopped up.
Planning decisions: W00/0934/0935/LBC Mr R Brookes was approved subject to many conditions affecting all aspects.
W00/1244 Mr and Mrs J Pepperell has also been approved.
The Crabbe site operated by Ivory Plant Hire had at long last been the subject of legal ruling that all operations should cease, all material should be removed by December 21. Very stringent conditions were imposed and any contravention would be deemed Contempt of Court and a custodial sentence. All parishioners were requested to report any incidents of waste being taken to this site together with details of time, date and vehicle registration number. Ideally the information should be passed to Worcestershire County Council Legal Department. Hopefully this should see the end of this long saga. The new sewerage was proceeding although agreement for the provision of laterals has still to be confirmed. Wychavon had suggested that these would be provided subject to work being completed within three months. This was requested to be increased to six months. Details of financial assistance had still to be notified. This work had highlighted the problems of parking in Harpley Road making it very difficult for the buses to negotiate and the added danger to pedestrians. The PC had applied for 'no parking' regulations to be applied to this stretch of road. Whilst the sewerage work was proceeding everyone was asked to park sensibly in order to keep disruption to a minimum. The problems of dog fouling were again raised after complaints were received that dogs were a problem to the allotments at Cow Leasow land at Lodge Hill. It was agreed that signs should be installed and the PC would investigate the provision of 'Dog Bins'.
However for persistent offenders prosecution was now a real deterrent; name and address of the owner and a description of the dog together with time and date of incident should be reported to the Dog Warden at Wychavon District Council who will follow the matter up and prosecute if warnings are ignored.
