GARDENING CLUB: The hall hung with Christmas decorations, and the tables being laid with beautifully decorated candle centrepieces, each made by the committee, set the scene for the annual supper on November 24. President, Ann Wall, welcomed some 69 members who then enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Marguerite and her helpers, after which teams of table guests took part in a three part quiz on codes, flower identification and a dinner menu puzzle. These were great fun, and the results so close that two 'sudden death' decisions were played. At the end a raffle was held with a host of prizes. The event was much enjoyed and made a lovely and fitting end to a busy year.
