Evesham and District Airgun League
LAST week saw the halfway point in the season with leaders Stanton Club travelling to the second place team the Lygon Arms.
The match finished all-square with Carl Ambrose scoring 47 for the Lygon and Ian Harwood and Jackie Laming both scoring the same for Stanton.
Evesham SMC easily won their home match against Bidford RBL with a 13-point win with Frazer Wilks, John Wilks and John Sollis all scoring 46 for Evesham and Graham Steed the same for Bidford.
George and Dragon lost at home to Badsey RBL by 12 points with Garry Lane scoring 45 for the George and Brian Jelfs a 46 for Badsey RBL.
Hampton also lost at home to Badsey Rec by eight points with Martin Houghton scoring 47 for Hampton and Martin Haynes a 49 for Badsey Rec.
Offenham RBL won their home match against Fairfield Nomads by 37 points with Ady Lewis scoring her second maximum of the season to move into joint first place in the averages alongside Jackie Laming of Stanton.
Andrew Print was the highest score for the Nomads with a 47.
The last match was between Wickhamford SSC and Campden RBL and Phil Nicholls scored his first maximum for Wickhamford. He was, though, unable to prevent his team going down to the visitors by 11 points with Bob Pitcher scoring his second maximum of the season.
The Evesham League took on their Redditch counterparts in the first leg of the W Feast Trophy at Badsey Rec.
Ian Danks scored the only maximum for Redditch with Eve-sham's Ady Lewis, Jackie Laming and Dean Baglin all matching that effort as they take a lead of 16 to the second leg on February 22.
Under-21 Baglin, in only his second match, deserved a special mention.
