Hallow 0, Littleton 0
ON a very heavy pitch against physically imposing opponents, a much changed Littleton side came away with a hard earned point.
Amazingly, this was their first drawn league game since September 12, 1998.
Littleton had the advantage of the wind in the first half, and created the better chances.
After 20 minutes a good run from Chris Wright took him into the box and his eventual shot was deflected clear.
Littleton were awarded a free kick 14 minutes later that Matthew Edwards drove just past the post from 20 yards.
On the stroke of half time a run by Chris Bate opened up Hallow. He passed to Philip whose shot was saved at the foot of a post.
At the start of the second half, Hallow penned Littleton back for a 20-minute spell. However, Littleton's back four of Pennington, Major, Buttle and Edwards held firm.
Major and Edwards, in particular, proved adept at breaking out when possible to quickly turn defence into attack
As the half wore on Littleton came more into the game and they could have clinched victory in the last 20 minutes.
Firstly, Tim Davies cut into the box, wrong footed the defence, and shot powerfully just inside the near post where the keeper made a good diving save.
A Pennington cross then flew across the face of the goal, Matthew Gibbons just missed with a diving header, and the ball ran to Davies whose drive went wide.
