Walsall III 2, Stratford 4
THE visiting captain won the toss and elected to choose ends which put the opposition at a disadvantage as they played with the strong winter's sun in their eyes in the first half.
In the first ten minutes Stratford were two goals up and it looked as if a turkey shoot was in order, but Walsall fought back and at half time the score was 4-1.
Walsall came out fighting after the interval and managed another goal. Stratford gained the upper hand but they were unable to find the net again.
Richard Helliker played a solid game in goal as did the rest of the defence. Scorers were Andy Valander (2), Rob Bowen and Scott Hazell from a short corner.
