STRATFORD Under-7s turned out a squad of nine players for their visit to Barkers Butts with several new faces again featuring.
The first match was a fast moving contest with some good forward attacking play by new pair Sarah Osborne and Jenny Lane.
Flying Joe Freeman was in inspirational form putting several solo runs together in scoring three tries.
Jamie Kirk battled away against stout defe-nding to score in the corner and young Leo Hodges evaded several Barkers players to post a try of his own.
However, Barkers controlled large parts of the game and ran out deserved 8-5 winners.
The second game saw a better organised Strat-ford playing more controlled rugby.
The Saunders-Cooke brothers - Ben and Lee - were in the thick of the action both going forward and in defence.
Player of the match Freeman again produced some of his lightning runs and went over for two tries.
Chris Youngs battling away in the centre, twice cleverly dummying several Barkers players for two excellent tries and young Leo Hodge produced a fine run for a well deserved try.
