STRATFORD Swimming Club were well represented when a Warwickshire representative squad competed at the ASA inter-county event at Milton Keynes on Saturday.
Stratford's new Director of Swimming Helen Slatter was leading the team.
Helen, who was appointed county coach last week, was delighted to be given this additional responsibility so soon after joining Stratford.
She said "Warwickshire is potentially a very strong swimming county with a number of thriving centres. There is every opportunity for us to be a powerful force in county championships.
"There are many good young swimmers who could really shine in these events and who would benefit enormously from the strong competition"
Helen was accompanied by two of her improving swimmers from Stratford.
Jemima Twist achieved personal bests in the 50m freestyle and butterfly events as her relay teams came in second and fourth in the 15-year age group.
Moving up one year, James Wardle achieved personal bests in the 100m breaststroke individual race and over 50m butterfly in the relay.
