Evesham Utd 2, Banbury Utd 0
EIGHT games unbeaten and a fourth successive clean sheet added up to three points and eighth place in the Southern League Premier Division table for the rampant Robins.
What didn't add up was Paul West's decision to recall Danny Lennon after releasing the striker six days earlier and then give him the nod over top scorer Mark Owen in the starting line-up.
As with most things this season, though, the move worked a treat for trhe Evesham manager.
Lennon netted Evesham's second goal with a fine finish six minutes into the second half.
The hosts led at half-time courtesy of Troy Wood's first goal since his loan move from Worcester after Mark Hands had headed on Simon Fitter's 16th minute free-kick.
The dead-ball man almost added a third after 68 minutes when his outrageous strike from halfway was tipped over the bar by the back-pedalling Joe Murrell.
Opposite number Nathan Vaughan made a couple of crucial second half stops, firstly blocking a shot from Howard Forinton and then watching George Redknapp fire the loose ball over a gaping goal.
Forinton then let rip from 20 yards but Vaughan produced another fine save to maintain his side's magnificent defensive record.
