DANNY Scheppel had the first sight of goal in the third minute when slack defending left him clear in the penalty area but Banbury keeper Joe Murrell turned his shot away for a corner.
Troy Wood fired in a fine cross two minutes later and Murrell was grateful to a defender for tidying up after he had pushed out the cross.
The Robins forced a third corner in the opening six minutes that Steve Luckett met with his head but a defender got in the way.
Luckett's follow-up again hit a defender and appeals for hands were turned down.
Simon Fitter's weaker left foot then sent a shot flying way over the Banbury goal.
Evesham haven't lost a league game at Worcester since New Year's Day and Banbury haven't won away all this season. So, who knows what the end result might produce.
In fact, the Puritans have scored three times in their seven away games this term but have only conceded nine when losing four and drawing three matches.
