Stourbridge 0, Evesham Utd 2
EVESHAM rode their luck to claim three points and earn revenge for their FA Trophy exit at the same ground ten days earlier.
Michael Hayden and Anthony Watson both cleared efforts off the line in the first half when Danny Hodnett also saw his 11th minute shot hit the crossbar.
Nathan Vaughan also produced a couple of fine stops while opposite number Lewis Solly was rarely tested.
The Evesham goal had another escape after the break when Nathan Bennett sliced wide from six yards but it was last Saturday's FA Cup villain Danny Scheppel who enjoyed a far happier evening.
The midfielder's 61st minute cross was turned into his own net by Ross Collins.
And, two minutes later, Scheppel rose highest to head in a cross from Steve Lutz.
Substitute Allando Davis almost made it 3-0 six minutes from time when his right wing cross struck the crossbar.
