FIREFIGHTERS were in a town centre street after a piece of paper caught fire while a resident was cooking.
Two fire engines from Evesham Fire Station were on Bewdley Street in Evesham after reports of a small fire.
A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Two crews from Evesham Fire Station were called at 7.12pm on December 3 to a fire with persons reported in Bewdley Street, Evesham.
"A fire, which was caused by a small amount of paper catching light while cooking, had been extinguished before the arrival of the fire service.
"The property was cleared using positive pressure ventilation.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required."
