A WOMAN has used counterfeit money in a Worcestershire town.
The women used a counterfeit £20 note to buy an item from a business on Port Street in Evesham on November 20.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "Police are aware of an incident on the evening of Wednesday, November 20 whereby a female used a counterfeit £20 banknote to purchase an item.
"This occurred on Port Street in Evesham Town Centre.
"The incident is being investigated to try and identify the person responsible.
"This is a reminder to all shops and businesses to be mindful of counterfeit banknotes when someone is paying in cash.
"Ultimately, if you are not sure do not accept the cash."
