IT'S been all systems go after a dog which has been missing for almost two months was seen running down a busy road

Missing Bosnian Dachshund rescue dog Gracie first went missing in Pershore and has now been seen on the A44 in Pershore.

Before that, she has only been seen once since in Walcott Lane.

Owners Michael Anthony and Gaynor Rogers immediately flew back from Turkey in September after hearing their beloved pet had gone missing.

The pair have now dropped everything once again after Gracie was seen running down the road on the A44 between Wood Norton and Fladbury.

People from two different cars called the owners about the sighting on Wednesday (November 6) afternoon.

They were then shown pictures of Gracie and said it was her that they saw.

Mr Anthony has since been to where she was seen and spoke with business owners who had also heard of the sighting.

Mr Anthony said: "Unfortunately it's not 100 per cent but you can only get that with a camera.

"Apparently she was seen running down the A44 which is a main road which is not good.

"She was running in front of a lorry which was going slow so as not to hit her and people from two separate cars gave us a call.

"After we sent them pictures and they said it was her it was all systems go.

"I jumped out of my chair and made the 90 minute journey there."

Mr Anthony has spent the last two days walking through the area talking with residents and flyering "the whole of Fladbury".

The area is open countryside according to the 54-year-old who didn't realise just how much there was.

Mr Anthony continued: "It's a horrible road for her to be on.

"I've walked the whole road to see if she had been hit but thank god I didn't find anything.

"We've had sightings before but nothing this positive.

"We've even gone out to sightings where someone said it was misty and foggy but it could have been Gracie or a big black cat.

"Our lives have turned completely upside down, it was always around Gracie but it used to be good things like where to take her, but now it seems to be all negative, we are just waiting for that one phone call."

Any sightings of Gracie can be reported to Mr Anthony on 07804 927504 or 07533 538754.
