A RARE coin from the world of Beatrix Potter is on sale - and people are urged to check their change as the coin could make them £1,000.
The 'circulated' Benjamin Bunny 50p from 2017 is one sale for £1 after a seller from Worcester advertised it on an online auction site. However, other similar coins are selling on eBay for £1,000.
One seller from Ilford has put a similar coin on the site for £1,000 and it has been described on the auction site as 'nearly extra fine condition' (it has been in circulation).
The 2017 Benjamin Bunny 50p coin was issued to celebrate one of Beatrix Potter's most loved children's tales, 'The tale of Benjamin Bunny'.
This is the first UK coin to feature Benjamin Bunny and is part of the second series of 50ps which proved to be extremely popular with coin collectors in 2016.
Designed by Emma Noble, the coin features Benjamin dressed in his little brown jacket and over-sized Tam o' Shanter.
