Worcestershire County Council is asking the public for help in shaping the county's streets.

The council wants input from residents, developers, and planners on the draft refreshed Streetscape Design Guide.

The engagement period started on Monday (November 4) and will run until January 27.

This is a chance for people to share ideas and feedback to help make the county's streets more accessible and sustainable.

The guide offers a toolkit to promote high-quality transport planning, focusing on sustainability, inclusivity, and aesthetics.

Councillor Marc Bayliss, cabinet member for highways and transport, said: "We’re looking to design Worcestershire’s streets to be greener, cleaner, and more accessible.

"This isn’t just for planners; it’s for everyone who uses our streets and wants to see our county flourish.

"I urge everyone to participate now the engagement period is open.

"Your views will ultimately influence the improvements we make across the county."

The guide aims to balance innovative design with the county’s historic character, preserving ecological diversity and ensuring long-term durability.

The council says that green spaces will be integrated carefully, and conservation areas respected, to create streets that are safe, functional, and easy to maintain.
