EVESHAM'S only nightclub is up for sale almost four decades after it first opened.
Marilyn's Nightclub in the town centre has been put on the market after 39 years.
Owner Gary Benjamin has made the "difficult decision" after his son Samuel, who had been running the club for the last seven years, decided he wanted to move on.
The business is now up for sale by Sidney Phillips Ltd with a guide price of £150,000.
Mr Benjamin who owns Marilyn's nightclub said: "I'm nearly 73 and my disco days are long behind me.
"I have lived in Spain for some years now and when my son finished university seven years ago he took over but now he wants to work somewhere more exciting.
"Unfortunately I can't offer anything as exciting as Dubai in Evesham.
"If he didn't want to see the world I would never sell the club because it has been an absolute undying passion of mine."
Marilyn's nightclub first opened in 1985 and has since won a number of awards and welcomed world-famous guests including Ant and Dec as well as Boy George.
The club was Mr Benjamin's passion project after visiting a club called Take it Easy in Germany when he was 17 is currently open on Fridays and Saturdays.
Mr Benjamin continued: "It has been a great business, not too many businesses last 39 years.
"We have welcomed hundreds of big stars and it would be impossible to remember them all.
"All businesses have their ups and downs but overall it's still going strong and if I was younger I wouldn't sell it.
"It's been there a long time, it's still going strong and there's always the demand because everyone wants to dance.
"Some youngster with some money will be hopefully be able to add a bit of fresh blood and excitement."
The club is described as the heart of the town's leisure circuit by Sidney Phillips Ltd and is licensed for 500 people.
Marilyn's is split amongst two floors and also has an outside smoking area.
