A MAN has been charged with theft and walking through Evesham with a bladed weapon.
Ashley Jewsbury, of Furrow Way, Mickleton, Chipping Campden was arrested in Evesham yesterday (October 24).
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Ashley Jewsbury has today (October 25) been charged with theft and being in possession of an offensive weapon.
"The charges are following a theft from Vision Express within the Tesco store on Worcester Road yesterday (October 24) and a man being stopped by town centre team officers in Boots on Worcester Road when a bladed article was found."
The 34-year-old is set to appear in Worcester Magistrates' Court on January 21, 2025.
