Worcester still has a red warning after the Pitchcroft river gauge saw the water reach 5.08m this morning (Monday).

It has led to warnings of property flooding on Quay Street, South Quay, Diglis Avenue, Hood Street, Pitchcroft Lane, Waterworks Road, and Newport Street.

The Environment Agency has warned that despite levels across the River Severn peaking, further rainfall predicted in the next 48 hours has posed further flooding risks.

It said: "We are closely monitoring the situation.

"Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.

"Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and avoid contact with flood water."

Flood warnings also remain for Kempsey, Upton, Hanley Castle, Leigh and Tewksbury.

A flood alert is in place for the River Avon, which will peak in Worcestershire this evening.

Offenham, Evesham, Twyning and Eckington Road are affected.
