A DERELICT cottage and barn could be demolished to make way for two new self-builds.

The 200-year-old Sidings Cottage is on the corner of the B4510 and Pitwell Lane, just outside Evesham.

But it is in a state of disrepair and planning permission is being sought to knock down the building.

The plan is to replace it with two new five-bedroom houses, which according to plans submitted to Wychavon District Council would fit “comfortably” on the site.

The land is known to be a target for flytipping, is overgrown with brambles and has been hit by two arson attacks.
