A YELLOW weather warning has been issued by the Met Office across Worcestershire, with thunderstorms expected.

The thunderstorms are expected to take place for the remainder of this evening (Monday, October 7) , with the weather warning in place until midnight.

The weather warning has been issued for Worcester, Malvern and Evesham.

Heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause some disruption, particularly to travel, throughout the evening.

There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected and some flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible.

There may also be some short term loss of power and delays to train services.

The Met Office has also warned some buildings and structures may be damaged from lightning strikes, although this is most likely close to coasts.
