A SUSPECTED shoplifter has been arrested by Evesham's new town centre team.
Matthew Schramm was arrested after he failed to answer his police bail by the team who only began patrolling the town in September.
He had previously been arrested on suspicion of three thefts and two burglaries.
A spokesperson for Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Team at West Mercia Police said: "On Sunday 6 October 2024 the Evesham Town Centre Team located and arrested Matthew Schramm for failing to answer his police bail.
"He had previously been arrested at the end of September on suspicion of three thefts and two burglaries, but failed to answer his bail.
"He has now been charged with the three thefts and remanded to court, whilst enquires are still ongoing in relation to the burglary matters."
