Her show, Fun! With Barbara Nice, promises to lift spirits as she shares her comic insights on what drains joy from life.

Barbara, the character created by Janice Connolly, said: "It’s been a good few years since I got out on the road with a show and I’m looking forward to getting back out there and bringing some laughter and fun to various towns and cities.

"The message of the show is WTF.

"That’s where’s the fun?"

Her shows are known for their party atmosphere, with the opportunity for audience participation.

The aim is to leave worries at the door and enjoy a fun-filled evening.

Connolly said: "Barbara is a larger-than-life character who brings the fun.

"We all need people like her, people who get the party going and remind us how to have a laugh.

"Barbara gives people permission to do that, she helps them forget themselves and encourages them to get up and dance."

She is keen to stress that audience participation is entirely voluntary.

She said: "I know a lot of people worry about being picked on or audience participation when they go to a comedy show.

"There’s none of that with Barbara.

"No one has to get involved if they’d rather not; everyone is welcome, no one is picked on.

"It’s a show where everyone can feel comfortable and welcome."

Barbara Nice, described by David Walliams as "a comedy whirlwind", regularly performs at festivals and comedy clubs across the UK.
