A VETERINARY surgery that recently moved after 25 years in the town centre has given guests a first look at what they can expect.
Martin and Carr Vets has opened today at The Valley after recently closing shop in Lime Street after 25 years.
The move is a "match made in heaven" according to The Valley's marketing director with clients and staff excited about the future.
Amy Baldwin, clinical director at Martin and Carr Vets, said on the open day: "It's nice to welcome both old and new clients to take a look around the new facility.
"We are really excited and I think everyone is very impressed by what we have to offer and the size of the facility.
"It's great, we have had lots of waggy tails.
"We are normally a very busy practice with lots of potential hazards and so once we take a pet into our care the clients do not often get the chance to see behind the curtain.
"We were in Lime Street for 25 years and I don't see why we won't be here for another 25 if not more.
"We have a proud history in the area and it's been a privilege."
The vets held an open day on Friday (September 6) to give people a chance to take a look behind the curtain before clinical work is set to start on Monday (September 9).
Phil Maclean, director of The Valley Evesham, said: "They have done a good job as this is an excellent facility.
"The move is a match made in heaven and Martin and Carr vets will be an excellent addition to The Valley.
"I think because we are so dog friendly the move just makes sense.
"I don't know if this is true but I think we are one of the most dog-friendly shopping centres in the UK and we have plans to add a dog agility course in the future.
"I would also like to see a dog-friendly café in The Valley."
The new purpose-built facility has two consult rooms, separate dog and cat wards, a dedicated theatre and an on-site laboratory.
