An Evesham accountancy firm has been named as one of the UK's most exciting firms.
The Accountancy Office, founded by Sarah Sallis in 2009, has been recognised by the Small Business Saturday UK campaign as one of the nation's 100 most impressive small businesses.
The campaign, running for over a decade in the UK, annually celebrates small businesses and encourages consumers to "shop local".
The lead-up to Small Business Saturday on December 7 involved a nationwide hunt for the most impressive small businesses.
The Evesham firm has now been selected for the SmallBiz100 line-up, showcasing 100 of the best independent UK businesses.
Company founder Ms Sallis said: "I’m thrilled that my accounting firm has been selected by Small Business Saturday UK as part of showcasing of 100 top UK businesses.
"The campaign highlights superb businesses and their communities, encouraging consumers to ‘shop local’.
"We’re very honoured to be participating in the campaign this year".
The business will also be profiled by the campaign on Wednesday, October 23, as part of the 100-day countdown to the big event.
Michelle Ovens CBE, director of Small Business Saturday UK, said: "It’s great to see The Accountancy Office as part of this year’s campaign.
"This year’s SmallBiz100 list shows the huge contribution small businesses make to their communities and the wider UK economy.
"Despite the economy turning a corner, the nation’s small businesses continue to feel the fallout of a challenging few years".
The Small Business Saturday campaign was founded in the US in 2010 by bank holding company American Express, and has reached millions of people in the UK since its start in 2013.
It encourages the public to support various types of small businesses, from community shops to small service and b2b businesses such as accountants.
Small Business Saturday has had strong support from political figures including the Prime Minister, the Mayor of London and the Chancellor of the Exchequer, as well as over 90 per cent of local councils.
