A POPULAR Evesham festival has been forced to postpone just days before welcoming visitors.
The Evesham Sausage and Cider Festival was set to get underway today (August 30) but a licencing issue has forced organisers to cancel this weekend's event.
A spokesperson for Blue Strawberry Events, the organisers of the festival, said: "We are sorry to the local community that were very much looking forward to seeing our free entry food festival."
Featuring live music and street food, the festival was planned to be hosted from Friday (August 30) to Sunday (September 1).
The spokesperson added: "We'll be returning to Evesham and will update you with the new date very soon."
