MAY I thank the friendly team of five men who have spent three days clearing the grass from between paving stones in Broad Street, Pershore, to make it attractive for the Plum Festival.
However, I’d like to know why the council indulged in this vanity project at a cost of around £1,800 rather than deal with the sewage running through the King George Playing Field canalised stream making the air pungent.
Surely cleaning up the sewage would have been a better use of the money.
I would rather keep the weeds than have to breathe in the sewage smells.
