Siblings take same picture at Confetti Fields for a decade

The photos have been taken at Confetti Fields in Wick, a site that is only open for a few days each year.

Joanne Smith, the mother of Carla, 14, and Kian, 12, said: "We only live five minutes away and when it first opened ten years ago we thought we would take a look.

"The first picture was just taken by chance, they were holding hands and it was nice.

"I didn't think anything of it, but then someone said it was a great picture and said that we should take the same picture every year to watch them grow up.

"It supports the fields, it was a bit of a chance photo but it looks like it was naturally taken."

The fields located at Wyke Manor Estate are only open for a limited time each year. 

This year the fields are open from June 28 to July 7.

Mrs Smith continued: "It's a beautiful place, the hardest part is just getting them to hold hands, when we get there they say 'have we really got to hold hands' but they love the outdoors and it's amazing to see how they have grown over the ten years.

"There is a little café that serves cakes, coffees and ice cream and it makes for a really nice day out. 

"Obviously we try to book when the sun is out and it was very sunny on Saturday, the colours were stunning. 

"I'm not sure how many years we have left, but hopefully till they are adults and then it will be up to them as to whether they will carry on. 

"It's great to compare, I've had messages from the lady who helps us and has thanked us for being such loyal customers."

The Wyke Manor Estate consists of over 1000 acres and has been owned by the Hudson family for over 250 years. 

The estate has been growing confetti since 1997.
