THREE people have been arrested and a dog seized by police during a dramatic drugs raid at a property in a quiet village.

Police with a drugs warrant raided the property off the B4082 Salt Boxes Road in Pinvin following concerns of drug dealing.

Two men, aged 46 and 43, and a woman, aged 36, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A Drugs.

The 46-year-old man and the 36-year-old woman were additionally arrested for the possession of a firearm, handling stolen goods and animal cruelty.

During the search a vast amount of what is believed to be stolen retail property, Class A drugs and a conducted energy device were seized.

A dog was seized at the property under the Animal Welfare Act.

All three are currently in custody and further enquiries are being carried out.

Sergeant Duncan Eades, of Evesham SNT, said “This morning we executed a warrant in Pinvin, suspected to be linked to drug dealing in the village.

"This involved teams from the force working together as we seek to tackle those who deal drugs here which have a harmful impact on the communities we protect and serve.

“Drug dealers prey on some of the most vulnerable people in society and their presence in turn causes more crime such as shoplifting, burglary and anti-social behaviour.

“Our actions were in response to residents’ concerns and police intelligence work. We will always act upon information given to us as we continue ongoing efforts to drive criminality away from the town.”

Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Team, in partnership with Task Force, executed the warrant.

Police are asking for people's help by continuing to report any signs of criminal activity by sending in tip offs via its website.

A spokesperson said: "Any bit of information, no matter how small it may seem, could help make a big difference."
