Plans have been put forward to extend a supermarket in Broadway.
The owners of the Nisa on the corner Bibsworth Avenue and Orchard Avenue want to build an extension at the back of the building.
They say in planning documents: “As a commercial building it has undergone various modifications over recent years.
“It currently requires some extension and refurbishment internally and externally.”
According to the plans, the extension would increase the shopfloor area, provide improved staff facilities and a remodelled staircase access to the flats on the first floor.
The applicants say pedestrian access to the supermarket and parking would be unaffected by the development.
