A WOMAN had her e-scooter seized by police after she was caught using it in public.
The offender was riding it in Pershore yesterday (June 10).
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "E-scooters are classed as mechanically propelled motor vehicles and therefore need motor insurance, tax and MOT to be used in public, and the person riding it must have a valid driving licence.
"As it is not possible to get motor insurance for E-scooters, nor is it possible to get them taxed or MOT’d, E-scooters are illegal to be used in a public place.
"If you capture footage of someone riding an E-scooter in a public place, please send the footage to:pershoretown.snt@westmercia.police.uk
"If we can identify the rider, we will be able to deal with them robustly."
