A TEENAGE boy was hurt in a car crash which saw a major road in Evesham closed causing chaos for commuters. 

The A46 Evesham Bypass was closed following the crash on Friday, May 31, with traffic affected in both directions near the B405. 

Ten people needed to be assessed by paramedics though no one was seriously injured in the crash. 

Police received a call at around 1.15pm on Friday following a report of the four-car crash on the A46 near the roundabout that joins the B4035. 

Officers attended the incident to find four cars involved. 

At around 2.02pm, police said the A46 Evesham Bypass was closed. 

Traffic delays on the road were classed as severe with queues backed up to Chadbury. 

Officers remained at the incident to support other emergency services and manage the traffic.

Ambulance staff were called at 1.12pm to reports of the four-car crash. 

An ambulance and paramedic officer attended the scene and assessed teen people. 

A teenage boy sustained minor injuries and was discharged on scene. 

A man and a woman also received treatment on the scene for minor injuries before being moved to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for further checks.
