FIRE crews were called at just before midnight to tackle a car blaze in Evesham.
Two Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Evesham Fire Station were called at 11.59pm on Sunday, June 2 to a small vehicle on fire on Lichfield Avenue.
A car was well alight on a drive adjacent to a house.
This was extinguished by a firefighter wearing a breathing apparatus and using a hose reel jet.
The fire service said the police were called due to 'deliberate ignition.'
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed there were no casualties.
West Mercia Police officers were called shortly after 2.10am.
The incident was marked as pending closure by the fire service at 3.13am, with police enquiries still ongoing.
