A MAJOR road near Evesham has been closed by police following an incident.
West Mercia Police said the A46 Evesham Bypass has been closed following an incident at 2.02pm this afternoon (May 31).
Delays are being classed as severe, with traffic moving at 10mph.
Traffic is now backed up for miles back to Chadbury.
The police are advising commuters to take an alternative route.
According to AA Traffic News the road is partially blocked due to a crash that is affecting both directions near the B4035.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We are currently on scene of a multiple car collision on the A46 Northbound from B4035 roundabout in Evesham, Worcestershire.
"The road remains closed while we deal with the incident.
"Injuries are reported to be minor."
