MORE than 250 bikers dressed in suits and ties have driven from Evesham through the Cotswolds to raise money for men’s health.

Bikers from across the world rode the streets.

Evesham’s Distinguished Gentleman’s bike ride raised over £30,000 for its charity partner, Movember.

Peter Myers, Evesham Distinguished Gentleman’s Bike Ride host said: “It was a beautiful day and we raised over £30,000.

“We have been doing the ride for more than five years.

“Lots of people were asking what we were doing and we directed them to the website.

“The ride took around an hour.

“We started in Evesham and passed through Chipping Campden before finishing in Broadway.”

There were 257 riders in total who took part.

Mr Myers continued: “We also had Magnificent Misfits helping out as we had lots of people making the wrong turns.

“Riders were wearing jackets and trousers so there was a big safety issue.

“We had a very good turnout, we had people coming from Birmingham even though Birmingham has its own ride.

“Because the route we take is through the Cotswolds and it’s so beautiful, it attracts people from across the country.

“The finale was on Broadway high street which was closed for our procession.”

The riders who raised the most money were Andy Boss, Michael Littler and Mike Hamilton who raised £1,589, £1,583 and £1,151.

Last year the Evesham Distinguished Gentleman's Ride raised around £35,000.
