THE FIRE service has battled a hedgerow that was found in flames.
Around eight metres of the plant was on fire and was combatted using a hosereel jet on Monday morning (May 27).
The incident happened on Cheltenham Road.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "One crew from Evesham Fire Station was called at 10.39am on May 27 to a fire in the open in Cheltenham Road, Ashton-under-Hill, Evesham.
"Around 8m of conifer hedgerow was on fire and extinguished using one hosereel jet.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services attended."
