The Mayor of Evesham showed off his artistic side as he performed in costume at a fundraiser.
Members of Evesham Methodist Church also attended the event, which was raising money for Christian Aid week at the historic Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham on Saturday (May 18).
The event featured an illustrated presentation by theatre employee Caro Day, who detailed the town’s and theatre's history.

The audience was also shown several costumes from the theatre and hundreds of images projected on the church screen.
The event's most trivial moment saw the Mayor, Councillor Robert Raphael, get on the stage to save a damsel in distress from a group of robbers in a short play.
The event was put together by Viv Jones and her husband, Eric, who tutors teenagers for LAMDA solo acting qualifications.
Among the guests in attendance was the new Mayor of Evesham, Councillor Robert Raphael, alongside his new Mayoress Marion Griffiths.
The fundraising event raised almost £1,000 to support those in need within the developing world.
The guests enjoyed a meal, participated in a theatre-themed quiz and raffle, and watched several drama students perform.
Three of Mr Jones' former drama students, Connor Hill, Rohan Hewitt, and Henry Dorrell, joined the evening's festivities, providing short excerpts from Shakespeare’s plays as part of the quiz, using props on loan from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
