A man has been arrested after police visited a vape shop in Evesham.
The raid on May 20 followed concerns from the public that cannabis-based vape products and illegal vapes were being sold at Vape-Tech on High Street.
A 36-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drug - cannabis and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Officers found over £3,000 worth of illegal vapes, ten cannabis vapes, mobile phones, knives, a baseball bat and an axe.
Police constable Adam Johns, of Evesham SNT, said: “Today, working with our partners at Trading Standards, we have arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug – cannabis and possession of a bladed article in a public place following our visit to the Vape-Tech store in Evesham.
“This planned operation was in response to community concerns around the illegal sale of vapes and cannabis-based vapes which are also illegal.
“We found evidence of both items at the premises, as well as weapons, resulting in a man’s arrest.
“We are pleased to get this result and would like to thank the public for their help in building the intelligence in this case.
“We will always act on community concerns around drug dealing and the criminality that surrounds it."
