A 'prolific shoplifter' suspected of committing a number of thefts and causing issues in Evesham is due in court today.
An application for a criminal behaviour order (CBO) is also due to be made at court today. This would involve placing a number of restrictions on the male in an effort to reduce their offending.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said PC 3838 Matt Beards will be attending court in relation to an application for the CBO.
A further update is expected following the court hearing.
Officers had previously described how on Thursday, whilst on foot patrol in Evesham Town Centre, PCSO Harris witnessed a shoplifting offence take place at Iceland and duly apprehended the male.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said; "The male was then dealt with by officers who had arrived to assist PCSO 40405 HARRIS and returned the stolen items back to Iceland.
"He had also stolen items from Home Bargains and these items were returned to them. The male will be dealt with formally at a later date."
