POLICE have carried out a warrant under the firearms act in a village near Evesham.
The search was conducted on land off Evesham Road in Cleeve Prior on May 2.
Police have advised that they will be there for sometime for an extensive search.
No arrests have been made.
South Worcestershire local policing area detective chief inspector, Christopher Percival, said: “Residents may have noticed a lot of police activity in and around Cleeve Prior this morning.
“Our officers have been executing a warrant on land just off Evesham Road under the Firearms Act 1968.
“We’re likely to remain on scene overnight and into tomorrow as extensive searches are carried out.
“We’d like to reassure you that there’s no need to be worried, but if you do have any concerns, please feel free to speak to one of our officers at the scene.”
