Police have formally identified the body the missing Royal Navy sailor, who disappeared in Scotland earlier this week.
Joshua Gayton, from Evesham, was last seen in Helensburgh town centre in Scotland on April 26.
He was reported missing after concerns were raised when he did not appear for work at nearby Faslane Naval Base
A body was found on April 21 and police have now confirmed it to be the body of Mr Gayton.
Chief inspector Allan Dickson from Scotland Police, said: “Our thoughts remain with Josh’s family at what is a very difficult time for them and they have asked for privacy.
“We would like to thank everyone who responded to our appeal and to partner agencies who helped search for Josh after he was reported missing, including assistance from the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines and Ministry of Defence Police.”
A vigil to remember Mr Gayton is to be held in Evesham market square on May 5.

A GoFundMe has been set up to support the family and to help bring Mr Gayton's body home.
It has raised over £12,000 so far.
