A BARISTA is full of beans after making it to the finals of a prestigious competition.
Joanne Osbourne who works at the Costa store in Evesham's Tesco has made it to the finals of the UK and Ireland Barista of the Year competition.
She is one of only 12 remaining baristas that have made it to the finals, beating hundreds of other candidates from across the country.
She has passed two regional stages, requiring her to make four beverages, along with using her coffee knowledge to create her own speciality hot drink.
Miss Osbourne said: “I’m so excited to have made it the UK and Ireland barista of the year finals, and I feel incredibly grateful for the unwavering support I’ve had from my manager.
"It’s been an exhilarating journey filled with lots of challenges, hard work and passion - and coffee of course, and now I’m really looking forward to the finals next week.”
The finals take place this weekend in Liverpool, with the top three progressing to the companies global barista of the year competition in July.
