There was a full house for an organ recital at a Worcestershire abbey.
World-renowned Simon Bell played the new abbey organ at Pershore Abbey last Saturday as part of the Dowty Organ Recital.
Furthermore, attendees delighted in speeches by former Dowty personnel and the unveiling of plans for a bronze statue of Sir George Dowty.
Notably, a presentation was made by George Dowty junior to a Devon organist serving at a church where a Dowty was a rector 140 years ago.
There was also an extraordinary moment where a 97-year-old former Dowty apprentice played cherished Second World War songs.
