PERSHORE Abbey will host an evening of classical music in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance charity at 7.30pm on Saturday, April 13.
A 41-strong choir, including several soloists, and a 46-piece orchestra will perform In Paradisum, an original requiem by Andrew Hemming, musical director for Pershore Operatic & Dramatic Society.
A varied programme will also feature an organ solo from John Wilderspin, renowned for his decades of involvement in music in the area, and music by American composer Keith Jarrett played by celebrated concert pianist Marcel Zidani.
Andrew, the fundraiser organiser, said: “I’m truly grateful that everyone involved is freely giving their time and talents to give audiences a magical evening of memorable music.
"Together, let’s keep our air ambulance funded and flying for all.”
Tickets from £10 to £15 are on sale at Blue in Broad Street, Pershore, and at Pershore Town Hall or search In Paradisum, Pershore, online at Ticket Source.
