Nigel Huddleston MP has voiced his support for the Government's funding of grassroots sport in his constituency.
Mr Huddleston welcomed the funding allocated to Mid Worcestershire as part of the government's Multi-Sport Grassroots Facilities Programme.
It aims to get over 3.5 million more people doing regular physical activity by 2030, including one million young people.

The Government has promised an extensive £327 million towards this nationwide initiative.
The financial boost will be used for the creation and upgrade of up to 8,000 football and multi-sports facilities across the UK.
As of January, Mid Worcestershire has been allocated £464,234.
Projects benefiting from this funding include the Droitwich Spa Leisure Centre, where the investment will fund a new floodlit 3G artificial grass pitch.
Similarly, the Wychbold playing field and Sixways Stadium have both been given funding for new goalposts, while the Honeybourne Harriers Sport Field will use their allocation to cover the cost of maintenance equipment and storage.
Mr Huddleston said: "Sport plays an important role in helping get younger people more active and aids in mental health and in developing life skills including teamwork.
"I welcome the Government’s investment in Mid Worcestershire and I am eager to witness the positive impact of this investment locally in getting as many people involved in sport as possible.
"It is great to see the sports clubs so crucial to our local community receive the support that they deserve."
