SUPERMARKET staff were left "shaken" after a man threatened them with a knife during a robbery.

The armed robbery, which took place at the Tesco Express on Cheltenham Road, saw a man wearing a balaclava threaten staff with a knife.

He left the shop with money from the till and tobacco and ran down Cheltenham Road towards Evesham.

The man was wearing a balaclava and red/orange gloves.

Detectives are now investigating the incident, which happened yesterday (Thursday) evening at 11am, and are appealing for witnesses.

Officers have been given CCTV of someone who was in the area at the time of the incident and are keen to speak to the person seen in the picture to help with their enquiries.

No one was injured during the incident.
