THE following cases were heard at Worcester Magistrates Court, Hereford Magistrates Court and Kidderminster Magistrates Court.

 

PETER RICHARDSON, of no fixed abode but previously of Worcester, admitted three charges of common assault of an emergency worker. 

The 68-year-old committed the offences on February 20 in Redditch - the common assaults to PC Bean, PC Horton-Turner and PC Tyler. 

The case was heard at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 21, being adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

Richardson, who was given unconditional bail, was told to return to the court for his sentencing on March 11.

 

ADAM BALDERSON-HIGGINS, of Anchor Lane, Harvington near Evesham, denies criminal damage and two common assaults. 

The prosecution alleges the 47-year-old caused £1,000 of damage to a fishing boat in Evesham on September 11, 2022.

Balderson-Higgins is alleged by the crown to have committed the assaults on September 11, 2022.

The defendant appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on February 21.

The case was adjourned, Balderson-Higgins being told to attend the next administrative hearing which is scheduled to take place at the Kidderminster court on April 15. 

Balderson-Higgins was given unconditional bail.

MICHELLE OAKEY, of Evesham Road, Cleeve Prior near Evesham, was found guilty of four offences at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 21. 

The 38-year-old was convicted of driving without third-party insurance; driving without due care and attention and two charges of failing to stop after a road accident.

Magistrates heard Oakey committed the offences on August 9 last year when she was driving an Audi A1 on Brick Kiln Street, Evesham.

The case was adjourned, Oakey being expected to attend the sentencing hearing to be held at Worcester Magistrates Court on May 8. 

 

ANDREW RILEY, of Bishops Frome, near Malvern, admitted drink driving. 

The 28-year-old committed the offence on New Year's Day, January 1, on Commercial Road, Hereford, when he was driving a Mazda 3. 

Riley gave an evidential sample to police which showed he had 68mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg. 

Riley was disqualified from driving for 17 months, but was offered the chance to complete the drink-drive awareness court which, if successfully completed, will reduce the ban length by 17 weeks.  

Riley, who appeared at Hereford Magistrates Court on February 21, was also fined £120, and ordered to pay £135 costs and £48 victim surcharge.

GARY GIBSON, of Brookthorpe Close, Worcester, changed his plea to guilty to harassment on the day of his trial. 

The 35-year-old had denied the charge, but admitted harassment of a victim between June 1 and June 7 in Worcester. 

Gibson changed the plea when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 22. 

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report. 

Gibson, who was given conditional bail, was told to return to the court on March 22 when his sentence will take place.

JORDAN ARNOLD, who gave a care of address of Pickersleigh Road, Malvern, changed his plea to guilty on the day of his trial at Worcester Magistrates Court on February 22.

The 30-year-old committed the offence on June 14 last year in Malvern. 

Arnold had denied a charge of assault by beating but changed his plea moments before the trial was set to get underway. 

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report. 

Arnold, who was given unconditional bail, was told to return to the court for sentencing on March 22.
