Local residents can now take advantage of new Forever Active strength and balance classes at Pershore and Evesham Leisure Centres.
These classes have been introduced for participants to maintain overall wellness, build strength and foster confidence.
Experienced instructor, Jim Carroll, will be leading the sessions.
The classes are scheduled every Thursday at Pershore Leisure Centre from 11.30am to 12.30pm, and every Friday at Evesham Leisure Centre, Studio 1, at the same time.
It costs £4.50 per class or free for Rivers Fitness members.
Bookings can be made through the Rivers app or the website, www.riversfitness.co.uk.
Alternatively, a phone call to the centres is also an option on 01386 552346 (Pershore) or 01386 444212 (Evesham).
The Forever Active classes are a blend of standing and chair-based exercises which include the use of resistance bands and light dumbbells.
The classes offer a nurturing approach to fitness complementing individuals aged 65 and above, but are open to all.
Additional highlights include a community focus with opportunities tethered for participants to connect and converse with others while enjoying free refreshments.
Health and fitness manager at Rivers Leisure Centres, Mr Busby, said: "We are thrilled to introduce the Forever Active classes, bringing a new dimension of fitness and well-being to our community.
"We believe in making fitness accessible to everyone, and these classes are designed to cater to a diverse range of participants, including those with long term health conditions."
This initiative has come into effect with the help of a partnership with PAL Fitness Education CIC and funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.
The Forever Active classes kick start as a 10-week pilot scheme, allowing time for participants to immerse themselves in the wealth of benefits these carefully curated sessions bring.
