Plans for nearly 100 homes to be built in Badsey have taken a step closer.
Miller Homes, a national housebuilder, has revealed that it has made a purchase of roughly 8.67 acres of land off Bretforton Road, where it intends to construct up to 98 new homes with capacities between one and four bedrooms.
This patch of land has been previously set aside for the creation of residential housing by Wychavon District Council, and has already been granted outline planning consent for the project.

Going forward, the housebuilder is expected to propose its planning application to progress its plans for the property and furnish the area with new builds.
The West Midlands branch of Miller Homes, based in Worcester, has plans to contribute 39 of these new builds to affordable housing.
Furthermore, 10 of these affordable homes will be sold under the First Homes scheme, a government initiative aimed at assisting first-time buyers as they attempt to secure their spot on the property market.
As part of the planning permission for the new venture, Miller Homes will contribute approximately £800,000 through a Section 106 agreement, which will directly support infrastructure in the area and services in and around the Badsey village.
Managing director of Miller Homes West Midlands, Darren Humphreys, said: "We are really pleased to have secured the right to deliver sustainable new housing in Badsey following this land purchase which marks the next phase of growth for the West Midlands region of Miller Homes."
He added: "We will now move forward to submit our detailed planning application for the development, with a view to starting on site in spring 2024 and completing our first homes on the site by the end of the calendar year."
In addition, every home built by Miller Homes will be equipped with electric vehicle charging points, as an element of their broader sustainability plan for the site.
Subject to planning approval and the actual commencement of construction work, the company intends to put its first available homes on the market at Badsey Gardens in autumn 2024.
