TWO crashes in less than an hour of one another caused 'extreme congestion' throughout Worcester, Evesham and Pershore.

West Mercia Police was first called to a crash on the B4084 Worcester Road, near Drakes Broughton, shortly before 7.40am this morning (Tuesday).

Two vehicles crashed. Nobody was seriously injured and no arrests were made.

At 8.10am in Sneachill, police were called to the A44 Evesham Road following a second two-vehicle crash.

Two people were taken to hospital by ambulance for injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for Worcestershire Highways said at the time: "B4084 closed at Stoulton due to Police incident - with A44 also closed at Sneachill due to RTC, extreme congestion between Evesham/Pershore and Worcester currently."
